Because, compared to paper or other filter technologies, reticulated polyester foam achieves optimum performance against three key criteria:
- Maximum Air Flow - the ability to allow air to pass through without causing a large drop in pressure.
- Cleaning Efficiency - the capability to arrest a high proportion of airborne dust while feeding the engine clean air.
- Dust Load-up Tolerance - the capability to absorb a large amount of dust without reducing air flow capacity.

Their unique Tri-Foam® system with three layers of foam combined with the arresting stickiness of the dust retaining oil gives a high level of filtration to protect the engine from all containments brought in by the air.
Performance is unaffected by very large quantities of dirt arrested in the filter and, long after ordinary filters have blocked up and reduced the engine power, loss of pressure in the Profilter airflow will be exceptionally low.
In normal road use, a Profilter will last at least four times as long as the equivalent standard filter. Waste is reduced so Profilter helps the environment as well as the engine.

Maxogen airflow systems are revolutionary kits that enable cold, dense air to reach the fuel metering unit more efficiently. These remarkable units can deliver as much as 9% more effective peak power at the wheels, and in some cases at 500rpm less revs in doing so. itg are able to supply fully enclosed air intake systems for some of todays more popular cars.
itg fully road test all prototypes to prove their durability and performance, and each kit is tested on the rolling road to fully enhance it's capabilities for that particular car. This means they are able to offer power and torque graphs for each kit supplied.
Most kits come with a carbon fibre housing but in some cases they use an E-glass AB65 (pre preg glass fibre) at a slightly lower cost. This option is currently only available on the AB65.
Each silicon hose is designed and made for each specific application. All aluminium parts are anodised and they supply stainless steel or plated screws, nuts and washers to fully enhance the appearance and durability of each kit.
All aluminium parts are anodised or copper nickel plated.
These versatile filters are easily recognisable by their twin bright red bands around the top and bottom. They should not be confused with the many inferior types of foam air filter.
These bands are the visible part of two fibre- reinforced nylon injection mouldings which form the structure on which their unique Tri-Foam filter system is bonded.
The two outer layers of foam provide optimum filtration and load-up capacity while the inner layer is made of special self extinguishing filter foam.
Together, they give the best combination for air flow, engine protection and safety.
All baseplates for the Megaflow range are made from steel which is powder coated in bright red.
